Parakeet, Red-crowned (Cyanoramphus novaezelandiae novaezelandiae) - 9 Jan 07 - Enderby Island, NZ in the Auckland Islands group. This is the most widespread subspecies. Called Kakariki locally. I also saw an adult feeding a chick here. Others of our group saw the Yellow-crowned on Auckland Island.
