Petrel, Cape, "Snares" ssp (Daption capense australe) - 6 Jan 07 - south of Bluff, NZ. This was the most prevalent subspecies in these waters. Note that there is less white on the back of the wings than the "Southern" ssp. There were always many of these following our ship.
