Petrel, Common Diving, "Richdale's" ssp (Pelecanoides urinatrix urinatrix) - 18 Jan 07 - Napier, NZ in the estuary near the airport. A bit unusual to see one on the mainland. Also saw the "Subantarctic" ssp, P. u. exsul subspecies near the Auckland Islands.
