Teal, Auckland (Anas aucklandica) - 9 Jan 07 - Enderby Island, NZ in the Auckland Islands group. The Auckland and Campbell Teal (A. nesiotis) are flightless, unlike their mainland cousin the Brown Teal (A. chlorotis). 'The Field Guide to Birds of New Zealand' considers Auckland and Campbell Teal subspecies of the Brown. Some in our group saw the Campbell Teal.
