Weka, "Stewart Island" ssp (Gallirallus australis scotti) - 3 Jan 07 - Ulva Island, NZ. This one came right out on the path as was attracted to Lisa rattling a small plastic bag. It will eat anything including carrion and other wounded Wekas. Two views of the same bird.
