This was one of the better islands for birding. It was the first time we'd seen the Galápagos Hawk (top-left). It is the best place to see the Waved Albatross (bottom-left) and their chicks. It was also the nesting site for the Nazca Booby (top-right) and the only place to see the Hood Mockingbird (lower-right), one of four endemic species of mockingbirds. This was also where I shot the cover slide photo of the Blue-footed Booby, saw many Red-billed Tropicbirds, and three varieties of the Darwin finches.
