055 Fernandina wildlife

None the less there was still plenty of interesting and unique wildlife to be seen on our hike over the lava and shell terrain. There were a couple of very young sea lion pups, this one and the one on the cover slide. This was the home of the Galápagos Cormorant which is the only flightless cormorant in the world. We also got an excellent view of one of the sea turtles which the guide said was probably not well. I also observed one of the male Small Ground Finches gleaning bits of algae from the backs of Marine Iguanas (bottom-right).
