Most of the passengers flew to Quito for an overnight before returning home. Lisa and I and the other 10 people taking the post-cruise Machu Picchu tour, got off at the intermediate stop in Guayaquil on the coast of Ecuador. Here we had a whirlwind tour of this attractive, modern city and a nice lunch before our late afternoon flight on to Lima, Peru. This is a statue of St. Martin and Simon Bolivar in the attractive riverfront park as we drove by.
