Early the next morning we were taken to the Lima airport for the flight to Cusco. We took off, climbed, climbed, climbed and landed. Cusco is over 11,000 feet above sea level! Thank goodness, our tour coordinator, Sonia, was managing all the checked luggage. We had enough trouble just moving ourselves and our carry-ons.
